The first step in becoming a Farmers Agent is to participate in a series of interviews with the District Manager. The purpose of the pre-selection interviews is to provide you with additional information and details about Farmers Agency opportunities. We also utilize the pre-selection interview to gather information about you to help evaluate your ability to become a Farmers Agency Manager.
Following the pre-selection interviews, we will begin an evaluation of your personal traits, experiences, and personality to better determine your aptitude, characteristics, and basic skills needed to become a successful Farmers Agency Manager.
The next step provided a mutual agreement is made is to submit your application to the company for their approval. Once the company has approved your application, you will need to secure your insurance licenses with the state.
With the help of your District Manager, you will create a plan to work your way through the licensing process, Reserve Program and to obtain your goal as a Career Farmers Agent.
Agent Licenses
You will need to attend pre-licensing education to secure your Auto, Fire, Life, and Health licenses.
After you complete your pre-licensing classes, you will be ready to take, and pass, your state insurance exams for Auto, Fire, Life and Health. After passing your exams and receiving your license, you will be appointed by Farmers as a Reserve Agent.
